How to Clean Latex Paint Brushes

Here’s how to clean latex (water-based house) paint from your brushes with Green Piece Paint Brush Cleaner, wet or dried.

Made with fruit extracts and minerals only. Non-toxic and environmentally friendly, with zero turpentine and zero paint thinner.

What you need

Steps

  1. Scrape and wipe extra latex paint back into the can or onto a rag.
  2. Pour Green Piece Paint Brush Cleaner into a container deep enough to cover the bristles.
  3. Swirl the brush and flex the bristles against the side of the container.
  4. For dried latex, soak until the paint softens.
  5. Comb or work the loosened paint out of the bristles.
  6. Rinse with warm water, shake out the water, reshape and let dry.

Tips

  • Don’t leave brushes standing on their bristles in a container for long. It can bend them.
  • Clean brushes between coats if you’re taking a long break.
