How to Clean a Bubbler
Here’s how to clean a glass bubbler with Green Piece, an alcohol-free (no isopropyl) cleaner with a fresh orange scent. It’s reusable, so you pour it back in the bottle when you’re done.
Made with orange peel extract in a citrus and mineral-based formula. Non-toxic, environmentally friendly and alcohol-free (no isopropyl).
What you need
- Green Piece cleaner
- Warm water
- Nylon brushes (tube and mini brushes)
- Silicone plugs, or a sealable bag or jar for small parts
- A funnel to pour the cleaner back
Steps
- Empty the water chamber and remove any removable bowl.
- Rinse with warm water to flush loose debris.
- Plug the bowl opening and mouthpiece.
- Fill the chamber partway with Green Piece so it reaches the stained areas.
- Soak, tilting and shaking now and then so the liquid reaches the bowl and stem.
- Brush the bowl and mouthpiece with a mini nylon brush.
- Pour the used Green Piece back into the bottle through a funnel. The liquid is reusable, so keep it for the next clean.
- Rinse thoroughly with warm water until no cleaner or loosened residue remains, then let the piece air dry.
Soak time
Usually a few minutes; up to about 8 hours if the chamber is heavily stained.
Rinse
Rinse with warm water until no cleaner or loosened residue remains. A drop of dish soap is optional. Let the piece air dry fully before using it.
Tips
- Bubblers have tight channels, so let the soak do the work rather than forcing a brush through.
- Tilt the bubbler in different directions during the soak to reach every surface.
